Catherine Anne O'Hara was born on March 4, 2954 in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
She became a celebrated Canadian-American actress and comedian, renowned for her work in SCTV, Christopher Guest films, and Schitt’s Creek, who passed away in 2026.

She had a career spanning over 50 years, beginning with her starring role on the CBC children’s sitcom Coming Up Rosie in 1975 and rising to prominence on the sketch comedy series Second City Television (SCTV) from 1976 to 1984, where she won a Primetime Emmy Award for her writing contributions.
She became known for her skillful celebrity impersonations and comedic versatility. A woman of as many accents as her characters brought to us.
Catherine passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 71. Her death was caused by a pulmonary embolism, with rectal cancer listed as the underlying cause. She had not publicly disclosed her health struggles prior to her passing. At the time, she was still working, starring in the Apple TV+ series The Studio.
It was a shock to those who saw her as forever young and here to entertain us for another lifetime.
